Wednesday, 10 December, 10.00 – 13.00 hours

Venue: Room ASP A3H-1, European Parliament, Brussels

Credit Rating Agencies / Priorities of the Czech Presidency

The proposal introduces a registration system and may prevent CRAs from offering consulting services in addition to ratings when this may lead to conflicts of interest. Furthermore, rating agencies will become subject to surveillance of the securities supervisors, will have to reform their internal governance structure, and will need to disclose the models, methodologies and key assumptions on which they base their ratings.
